How to Hack Nokia S40 Security : Make Java Apps ask Permissions only once

How to Hack Nokia S40 Security:-
S40 Intro :
Series 40 is a software platform and application user interface (UI) software on Nokia's broad range of mid tier mobile phones. It is the world's most widely used mobile phone platform and found in hundreds of millions of devices.
Series 40 is a simpler operating system variant than the higher end S60 (which is based on the multi-tasking Symbian OS). Because S40 devices do not support true multi-tasking and do not have a native code API for third parties, its user interface may appear to be more responsive and faster than other Nokia platforms. While Series 60 can run more applications and is recognized as "Symbian" more so than the simplistic Series 40, Series 40 does not have support for Symbian apps—rather, Series 40 runs Java ME applications such as FileExplorer (which allows the user to manage files and folders on their phone), but these java applications keep on asking for permissions on every single operation, which makes things fussy. Here we'll show you how to get rid of this fuss..

==================First Way=================
Start with download these applications :

OxyCube Setup.exe
24.8 MB- windows 32-bit/64-bit.
BeHappyInstall.zip
75.6 KB- Windows 32-bit/64-bit.
User.zip
703 Bytes Informational file.
1st Install application OxyCube and it will let you copy/read files in system folders, we'll need it.

Now go there to phone C:\Hiddenfolder\certificates\user and copy the contents form file user.zip to this path files

After copying files from user.zip in "C:\Hiddenfolder\certificates\user " , install the certificate by double clicking on it. It'll guide u step by step to perform installation. After certificate's been installed, restart your phone.

Note: If OxyCuebe not able to show this folder or get any error message than download and try with MobiMB form here :
MobiMB_v3.5_full_Cracked.rar (0.32 MB)
2. Then, install BeHappy application.
3.Drag & drop .jar file to BeHappy window - you will get popup balloon informing that app is signed
4. Now copy BOTH .jar & .jad to your phone (doesn't matter bt or usb or card reader)
5. Highlight app - click options - application access set all to 'always allowed'
6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 with any apps you install.

May not all apps will works however, you can apps yourself, and some apps will be 'signed', and some won't run.

==================Second Way=================

This way you can easier get rid of only file system permissions than installing lots of softwares and signing everything. Remember just delete .jad files of signed files - and see the result. Tested on 3120 Classic with minicommander, liteftp, kd player, mobyexplorer 3 cracked, readmaniac, mobilerar.

A brief description: every s40 phone has Product Profile. it's like advanced configuration file for nokia. The trick is to modify Product Profile for your phone, so every unsigned java app will have access to file system perfectly without even setting permissions!

You will use JAF service software for applying this hack. Supported following s40 phones:

2626, 2630, 2660, 2760, 3109c, 3110c, 3120c, 5200, 5300, 5310, 6021, 6070, 6080, 6101, 6103, 6111, 6126, 6103, 6230i, 6233, 6270, 6280, 6300, 6300i, 6301, 7500 prism, 8600 luna, 6131, 6133, 6131 NFC, 6020, 6101b

Backup your phone data

Mobile phones have become a part of our life. We always have a lot of important informations stored in our phone. There are also messages of our loved ones and important contacts numbers. While it is not hard to backup the data in the phone memory, I recommend not to store anything in the phone memory. This will slow down your phone and you always have fear of losing the data. You can easily backup the data on memory card on another memory card, PC or USB stick. So the main concern is about the Contacts, Notes, and Calendar entries etc. Today we will take a look at backing up our important data so that we can easily restore them in case of data loss. The data loss can be accidental, or due to firmware upgrade or flashing.

PC Suite/Ovi Suite

This is the best option at hand to backup your data if you have access to a PC. You can use the backup option in PC Suite or Ovi Suite to backup your contacts, messages, calendar entries and notes offline to your PC.

Download Nokia PC Suite

Download Nokia Ovi Suite

Backup/Restore Option in Settings

If you have a Nokia s40v5 or higher phone, you can easily backup your messages, contacts, calendar, notes, gallery files, applications and settings with the inbuilt backup function. Just go to "Menu>Settings>Backup/Restore" and backup your data. It will create a folder named "Backups" in the memory card with a backup file. More backup files will be stored in that folder. You can restore the data by again going to "Menu>Settings>Backup/Restore" and choosing the file to restore. Or you can simply restore by opening the backup file from the memory card.

Mobile Backup 2.0

If your phone doesn't have a backup option, no need to worry. Mobile Backup is a tiny free and Open Source java application that you can install in your mobile and easily backup your contacts and calendar notes to your memory card. You can restore the backup from the application. The disadvantage is that, you cannot backup your messages and as it is not a signed application, you'll have to grant permission for every single contact. However, unlike Nokia's default backup system, it only adds data, not overwrite any existing data.

How to use HandlerUI/Editable Server mods

HandlerUI mods are modified applications by Sir Handler which enable us to use proxies and change proxy servers of various applications.

When the application starts, you will see the HandlerUI which has many input fields.

Custom HTTP Server: You can put a proxy server here with the main server of the app. For example, to use http://mini5.operamini.net with main server of Opera Mini i.e. server4.operamini.com/, enter http://mini5.operamini.net.server4.operamini.com/.

Front Query: It is mostly used for downloading trick but works only with some service providers. You have to enter the server with a @. For example wapx.amob.com@

Middle Query & Back Query: These are mostly not needed. So just leave it blank.

Remove String From URL/Remove Port From URL: Don't check it if you don't need it. It is for removing the port associated with the server.

HOST: You can provide host address or any server here to have a host server.

Simple to find Lost Mobile

An IMEI number-The International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number is an international identity number used to uniquely identify a mobile phone. The 15-digit IMEI number is an electronic fingerprint transmitted every time a phone is used, which reveals the identity of the mobile handset.

How can I find out my IMEI number? IMEI numbers are independent of the phone number and are usually written underneath the battery or on the back of the handset. Mobile phone users can also check their 15 digit IMEI number by dialling *#06# on their mobile handset. Mobile phone owners should make a note of their IMEI number and keep the details in a safe place.

If u lost your mobile, send an e-mail to cop@vsnl.net with the following info.
Your name:

Mobile Telephone Numbering In India:

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has divided India into various cellular zones such that within each zone, the call is treated as a local call, while across zones, it becomes a long-distance call. A cellular zone (or cellular circle) is normally the entire state, with a few exceptions like Mumbai (which is a different zone), Goa (which is a part of the Maharashtra zone) or Uttar Pradesh (divided into multiple zones).
From 20th May 2005, calls between Mumbai Metro and Maharashtra Telecom Circle, Chennai Metro and Tamilnadu Telecom Circle, Kolkata Metro and West Bengal Telecom Circle and Uttar Pradesh (East) and Uttar Pradesh (West) Telecom Circle Service Areas are merged in Inter service area connectivity. With the above arrangement, calls within a State in the above-mentioned four States would be treated as intra-service area call for the purposes of routing as well as Access Deficit Charges (ADC). The dialing procedure for calls within a State for these States would also be simplified i.e. dialing of mobile-to mobile subscribers and fixed-to-mobile subscribers would be without prefixing '0'.
All mobile numbers in India have the prefix 9 (This includes pager services, but the use of pagers is on the decline). Each zone is allowed to have multiple private operators, earlier it was 2 private + BSNL, subsequently it was changed to 3 private + BSNL in GSM 900/1800, now it also includes 2 private + BSNL in CDMA). All cellphone numbers are 10 digits long, (normally) split up as OO-AA-NNNNNN where OO is the operator code, AA is the zone code assigned to the operator, and NNNNNN is the subscriber number.

Nokia Symbians 2 Secret Codes

Nokia Symbians Secret Codes

Tip 1 : Do u know how to use the edit button (abc or pencil button)?
Heres how... in the inbox for example; u wanna delete multiple sms, simply hold the edit button, scroll down, and then, press c to delete the marked sms. The edit button can also b used to copy and past text in sms, simply hold it and scroll across, choose copy. pretty good for placing song names in ngages

Tip 2 : Shit happens, on a smartphone, its inevitable u do something wrong, and this calls for a format of fone. to format the fone, press *#7370#, then enter the lock code, which is the sec code of the fone. NOTE : batt must b full, else if format is disrupted by low batt, consequences will b disatrous
I heard the code *#7780# works too, pretty much the same i tink.
for 6600 users, to format the fone, theres an alternative way. Press and hold <3>, <*>, and the buttons, then power on fone, keep holding on the 3 buttons, till u come to a format screen. tis method ONLY works on 6600, and need not enter the sec code. BUT sec code wun be reset to default 12345.
There are two kinds of formatting: hard formatting and soft formatting

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SOFT formatting: This does not realy format your phone (c-drive). It restores ini files from rom but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc). This is just a normal reset!!

HOW? There are two ways to do a normal reset:

1) *#7780# (this seems to work only on S60 v6.1 and 7.0)

2) Go to Settings, General and scroll down to factorysettings (works on all S60 phones)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HARD formatting: This reformats completely the C-drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean but default files will be rewritten. This is a deep reset.

HOW? Again there are two ways:

1) *#7370#

2) When unable to startup your phone: press and hold the green (talk) key on the left + number 3 on the keypad + the * key and then turn the phone on. This trick works on every S60 v7.0 and it works fine on my 6630 too but without formatting screen...

Tip 3 : TO NGAGE USERS; Did u know u can install .sis files simply using the cable given? Juz plug it in, place the .sis file anywhere on e: (the mmc), not in any folders, root of e:, disconnect, then look for it in manager.

Tip 4: Save on battery and system memory being used by regulary checking the task manager which can be accessed by holding down the menu button!!

Tip 5: Type *#06# to display your IMEI serial number, very valuable for the unlocking your phone to other sim cards...

Tip 6: Save memory when installing apps, by installing over bluetooth. This can be done using the nokia phone suite and a bluetooth serial connection. Only works with .SIS files, so java still has to be sent to the phone, but will save space when using .SIS files.

Tip 7: Operator logos
Use a filemanager like FExplorer or SeleQ to add the folders: "c:/system/Apps/phone/oplogo". Add a .bmp picture to folder "oplogo" and restart your phone! The .bmp picture size needs to be: 97 x 25 pixels

Tip 8: BlueJacking
First up, you need to know what Bluetooth is. There are lots of types of modern devices that incorporate Bluetooth as one of their many features. PDAs, mobile phones and laptops are a few of these modern devices. Bluetooth means that Bluetooth enabled devices can send things like phonebook/address book contacts, pictures & notes to other Bluetooth enabled devices wirelessly over a range of about 10 metres. So, we've got past the boring part. Now, using a phone with Bluetooth, you can create a phonebook contact and write a message, eg. 'Hello, you've been bluejacked', in the 'Name' field. Then you can search for other phones with Bluetooth and send that phonebook contact to them. On their phone, a message will popup saying "'Hello, you've been bluejacked' has just been received by Bluetooth" or something along those lines. For most 'victims' they will have no idea as to how the message appeared on their phone.

Tip 9: While you are viewing a picture in your phone's gallery, press one of these shortcut keys (definitely works on 6600, not sure about other symbians)
1 - turn image anticlockwise
3 - turn image clockwise
* - toggle on/off of full screen
5 - zoom in
0 - zoom out

Tip 10: Operator logos
Use a filemanager like FExplorer or SeleQ to add the folders: "c:/system/Apps/phone/oplogo". Add a .bmp picture to folder "oplogo" and restart your phone! The .bmp picture size needs to be: 97 x 25 pixels

Tip 11: Check if the recepients phone is on
Delivery reports
or
Type *0# your message in the message composer window space then write your message, the recipient will not see the star zero hash bit - just the message When they read it it will relay a message back to your fone showing the time they recieved it. (haven't yet tried it myself though)

A soft and Hard reset
A Soft-reset - the process of resetting all the settings of the phone to the factory default! No applications are deleted! A Hard-reset is like formatting a drive! It does format the memory. Everything that has been installed after the first use of the phone is deleted! It will recover the memory of the phone to the state you purchased it! It is done by inputing the following code: *#7370# NOTE: The battery must be full or the charger has to be connected to the phone so that it does not run out of power and make the phone unusable

Start up in Safe Mode so no 'auto start' apps will be running:
To make sure that no memory-resident programs start when you reboot your phone,
hold down the pencil key when you turn on the phone and hold it on untill you have to enter your PIN code.
(When you have trouble booting up the phone with the MMC in it because it got corrupted for some reason, this trick will
almost always let you boot up the phone so you can remove the latest installed app which might have caused the
problem or if your phone is "unrepairable" you can still back up your important data before you do a format.)
